First off the You Make My Day Award:

Thank you, ever so much! Being given awards is a great way of finding out that people actually read and appreciate my blog. That means so much to me.
The rules for this blog is as follows:
The rules of the You Make My Day Award are:"Give the award to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel happy about blogland. Let them know by posting a comment on their blog so they can pass it on. Beware you may get the award several times."
The ten people I would like to give this award to are:
- First off, I'm giving it right back to Inkberryblue, since her blog is one that I visit regularly and enjoy a lot. She's inspiring in all the good ways, by enjoying so many of the things I enjoy. Making jewellery, crocheting, knitting (if recently) and making stitch markers - any jewellery actually. Do check out her wonderfully pretty christmas ornament, the beaded snowflake. I absolutely love that. Her photos on the blog are often to die for, and she's a cat person! I love cat people!
- I'm not sure Yarn Harlot will acknowledge this, since she's probably on the top ten list of every knitter's blog in blogland and would have a hell of a time making a top ten list of her own if she got this award from hither and yon. But I still feel I have to give this to her. Her blog is one that I visit every day, read every day, and often even go through ALL the comments from her fans. It's an inspiring place. She writes wonderfully, she's witty, fun and interesting every damn time. I don't know how she does it, but she does. She's amazing.
- One of the criteria I have for a favorite blog is often that they post often, or at least regularly (and words to live by which I don't...) but once in a while, there's a blog that just has such inspiring or awesome posts that it doesn't matter if they blog every day or even every week, you still go back to see what they have done or posted. Learning to Walk in Stilettos is one of those blogs for me. Look at the trip she made through Europe lately. Look at those amazing images. Wow. She really makes my day when I go there to look!
- This Boy Knits. Not only is it inspiring to see guys knit and crochet, but this guy's really good at it, and his posts are always interesting and inspiring. Not to mention the pretty photos of yarn! He does provide me with some of the best Yarn Pr0n out there! :)
- I love blogs that give me an insight into things and lives I don't normally see. Like other cultures and ethnic groups. My indian friend, Rima, at Yarnydays does this with flair and skill. She lives in New York, I believe, but have been visiting India for a while, and let me tell you, I've been riveted. I love visiting her blog to see the differences in our lives, but also the commonalities. She crochets beautiful things and love a lot of the same things I do, but seeing her life makes me realize how different we are at the same time. It's inspiring, and exciting.
- Vintage things are often absolutely gorgeous, and I love thrifting, although it's gotten a bit neglected since I got totally snowed in on knitting and crocheting lately. Despite this, I love visiting blogs that focus on vintage-y stuff. Georgia Peachez is one of those blogs that I visit regularly and always find inspiring and lovely. Her love for pretty things make me happy and seeing her photos and reading her posts is always a treat for me. Her blog is filled with gorgeous quilts, pretty tins, wonderful roses in all shapes and sizes and ... well, it's just beautiful and makes me happy to visit.
- In fact, there's another blog, I visit for the very same reasons as Georgia's and that's Elizabeth Holcombe's blog. They are pretty similar in content, but of course, with vastly different posts. All lovely and all "make my day" material, that's for sure.
- Another crafty person whose blog I love to visit is crochetroo. As her blog name indicates she's from the land Down Under, and her blog reflects this in a fun way. The stuff she crochets is very often - almost always in fact - inspired by her unique home land. I've always been fascinated by Australia, and visiting her blog feeds my interest. When I was a kid, my dad wanted to move there, but my mom refused. I sometimes wonder what my life would have been like had they moved. Maybe I'd be dead? Bitten by a spider or a snake. *shivers*. Nah, I like Sweden ...
- Katt-trappa. A blog with cat ladders from all over the world. It's hilarious! I go here from time to time, just to get a smile. Some of these are amazing, and as a cat person, I love seeing what lengths people will sometimes go to, to make the lives of their feline friends easier.
- ~Eva~ and her blog has been a favorite for so long, I forget to include her in these things. I visit regularly. Unfortunately, this blog is entirely in Swedish, so if you don't understand the language, it might not be as much fun. But Eva writes very candidly about her life, her experiences and goals in life. She also posts wonderful photos that she's taken all over the country side of Skåne, where I live as well. She's an inspiration and a very determined lady.

And then, for the Art Award:
"Post the award on your own blog. (Post who gave it to you) (Inkberryblue again!)
Indicate its original link and link to that site. (The Award originally came fromArte Y Pico's Blog at, http://artepico.blogspot.com/ from Uruguay)
Give the Award to 5 other blogs that you enjoy, find creative and inspire you."
And the thing is, I just gave you 10 of those. I'm going to go with the same ten for this award as well. Plus the five, I gave the "You Make my Day Award, the last time. Cheating, perhaps, but these are still my favorites, y'know ....
